This week, we’re proud to welcome Pastificio Giuseppe Cocco into our exclusive Australian portfolio.  

And not just any brand.  

At Bruno 1956, we’ve become extremely selective about brand partnerships.  
Especially in foundational categories like pasta.  

For some time now, we’ve been searching for an artisan pasta producer that sits well outside conventional, supermarket-level pasta.  

Not designed for mass production.  
Not made to be cooked in bulk.  

But a pasta reserved for special occasions at home.  
For chefs who care deeply about story-telling and artisanal ingredients  

For restaurants where every ingredient must earn its place on the plate.  

A pasta you cook packet by packet.  
With intention.  
With respect.  

More than three years ago, during a visit to Fara San Martino in Abruzzo, we were introduced by a close friend to the family behind Giuseppe Cocco.  

Our first meeting was simple.  

A coffee.  
A conversation.  
At their office beside the crystal-clear Verde River, in one of Italy’s most historic pasta towns.  

What started as a discussion about pasta quickly became a story about family, heritage, and four generations dedicated to doing one thing, and doing it properly.  

Three things stood out immediately:  

• The people. Humble, passionate, and deeply connected to their craft
• The product. Texture, bite, and a feeling in every mouthful  
• The detail. From their ancient method to state of the art packaging  

It didn’t feel like a factory.  
It felt like a workshop.  

There’s a question we often ask producers:  

“What are your volume capabilities for Australia?”  

Most answers sound like:  
“We can produce as much as you need.”  

Giuseppe Cocco’s answer was different.  

“Our capabilities are limited.”  

Not because they can’t grow.  
But because they refuse to compromise.  

That told us everything.  

We weren’t speaking to a supplier chasing scale.  
We were speaking to a family protecting a standard.  

Pastificio Giuseppe Cocco represents everything we were looking for in a pasta brand:
